Job Summary The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the business requirements for systems and business process management in support of Toys "R" Us International business functional users. The Senior Business Analyst works as part of a Project Team which is formed to deliver specific solutions. Key Tasks and Responsibilities * Oversee the development of specifications related to changes in the business functions throughout Toys "R" Us International. * Interact with the users of the functional applications and Managers, Regional Business Analysts to understand their needs and to anticipate ways in which technological solutions can enhance the business processes. Be a continual advocate of business needs. * Work with Senior Systems Analysts to ensure that questions and discrepancies about specifications are resolved during the solution development process and ensure business users needs are addressed throughout the project and represented in the technical solution. * Communicate with the user community to help them understand the impact of the solution, the projects timeline and expected functionality. * Develop and continually update knowledge about the technical infrastructure and applications in use at Toys "R" Us International. * Participate in the design of the implementation plan. Oversee the development of training and support plans for the users of the application. * Review all user documentation. Monitor / take part in testing of applications. * Provide continuous process improvements based on business needs throughout the course of the project. * Participate in the design, implementation and distribution of operating procedures for the enterprise business systems. * Conform to international business schedules and traveling requirements Qualifications Education and Experience: Education: International Business Management or equivalent degree is required, MBA or equivalent is preferred. The following experience is required People: Strong interpersonal skills: * Demonstrated ability to coordinate and work effectively with other TRUI specialists * Strong leadership skills * Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts * Strong organizational skills * Experience working with offshore resources Strong communication skills: * Demonstrated ability to understand and explain issues to colleagues and users from both a technical and a business functional point of view * Demonstrated ability to communicate goals and objectives to team members * Experience in dealing with clients, business users for whom English is not their primary language * Demonstrated ability to ability to understand cultural differences and work with multiple cultures in parallel * Demonstrated ability to write effectively * Ability to communicate in French, German or Spanish a plus Process: At least 5 years of experience with any one of the following processes: * Knowledge of Accounting and Finance, prior experience working with Account Payable/ Finance systems and users * Systems analysis * Systems Testing * People Management * Retail business processes/process change * Application Development Life Cycle (particularly Requirements Definition) * Retail technology solution development Technical: At least 4 years of experience with any the following areas: * AS400 operating systems and applications * PC Software * Query Tools * Programming logic * Knowledge of database design, development or maintenance Job Function : IT Organization : Headquarters Primary Location : USA-New Jersey Work Locations : Headquarters (5905) One Geoffrey Way Wayne, 07470-2030 Schedule : Full-time Job Type : Standard Education Level : Bachelors Degree Travel : Yes, 15% of the time Please refer to job code 42700 when responding to this ad.
