DEADLINE: January 15, 2010 The Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) Department at the University of Delaware announces a full-time, tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position at our Newark campus. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in hospitality operations management. The duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as meeting/events management, food and beverage management and/or related hospitality domains. The ideal candidate will be able to teach in more than one of these areas. Additionally, we require the development and delivery of distance learning courses for national and international programming. The BS degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management is available through distance learning. The HRIM Department is also the first to offer a graduate degree in Hospitality Information Management. The successful candidate will advise undergraduate and graduate students, participate in College and University activities, conduct scholarly research, and perform public service. The candidate will be expected to conduct a rigorous research program in hospitality and tourism management. Earned Doctorate in related fields with strong industry, research, and teaching experience as well as knowledge and understanding of technology and its applications.
