We are currently seeking a Benefits Analyst, located in Morristown, NJ, reporting to the Director, Benefits. In this role, you will administer various Human Resources Benefits functions, including utilization analysis and reporting. Essential Job Functions: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks. * Assures that policies and procedures are administered and interpreted in a fair and consistent manner; adheres to personal performance and productivity standards established by HR management. * Completes medical, prescription, dental and vision utilization analysis for all Company sites. Responsible for summarizing the analysis of utilization data and informing Benefits management of results to support the company wellness program. * Requests and compiles information for financial analysis reports. * Analyzes reports to develop exhibits. * Completes surveys and utilizes survey data in recommending and assisting in the development of improved policies and plans regarding employee benefits. * Continues to keep abreast of current legislation such as COBRA, HIPAA, Medicare, ERISA, etc. and its effect on employee benefits. * Audits work of data maintainers for benefits entries only. * Manages SAP and vendor audits. * Manages all relevant benefits reporting and billing * Manages run out, of any plans, from acquired companies. * Works with Finance department and consultant on benefits reporting. * Manage employee appeal process * Work with all carriers on annual contracts, plan modifications, and renewals * Responsible for SAP testing of configuration changes, validation and interfaces. * Manages and Conducts the benefits portion of the new hire orientation * Administers Tuition Reimbursement and Scholarship program and vendor * Ensures that all annual benefits rates are distributed to proper departments and are loaded into payroll for accurate and timely payroll deductions. * Assists Benefits management with special projects, such as open enrollment. * Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of: * Benefits program design and administration principles, practices and methods. * Contract terms and agreements relating to insurance plans and coverage. * Employee benefits laws and regulations. * Business and personal computer hardware and software applications. * Human Resources Information Systems applications. * Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. * Current Company policies, practices and procedures, including safety rules and regulations. Skill in: * Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources. * Interpreting and applying Federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources and Benefits Administration. * Responding to inquiries or complaints from management, employees, regulatory agencies and members of the business community. * Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. * Managing and prioritizing multiple projects, duties and assignments. * Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. * Maintain confidentiality of data. Education Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field and five (5) to seven (7) years Human Resources and Benefits Administration experience, preferably pharmaceutical environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
