Head Coach, Intercollegiate Womens Cross Country [Part time] - The Athletics Department of Mercer County Community College will make womens cross country its ninth varsity sport. MCCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Region XIX and the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC). The 17-member GSAC has seven schools that are scheduled to compete in womens cross country during the 2009-10 school year. The Head Coach will teach individual/Team Cross Country concepts to student athletes while enforcing safety rules, policies, procedures and regulations set forth by MCCC, The GSAC, Region 19 and the NJCAA. The selected candidate must be available to work five days a week during the regular season, two practices per week during Spring training and at least four hours per week during Summer late recruitment periods. Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid drivers license and ability to drive a 15 passenger vehicle for team travel is required. CPR, AED, First Aid certification is preferred. Job Code: EC - 110109.
