Description ------------ Ajilon Consuilting is currently recruiting for a Junior Information Security Engineer with the following skill set: - B.Sc. in Comp. Sci, Engineering or related - 2 + years of experience managing Firewalls, IPS systems - minimum 1 year of hands-on Juniper Netscreen experience. - understanding of network protocols - familiarity with other IT areas (web services, databases) Desired Skills: CISSP - Juniper NSM experience strongly desirable Role: - make routine FW changes as requested by clients : update object names or IPs, add objects to groups, revise rules, etc. - create and review reports and analyze logs to verify proper function and identify anomalies - interact with clients to receive requests, request clarifications, triage, troubleshoot and resolve firewall issues - review IPS rules and logs, suggest improvements and implement if approved - interact with Office of Information Security to implement change requests, seek accreditation, provide information - document all changes Position is located in downtown Washington, DC and we offer benefits (medical/dental/vision, vacation, 401k).
