The candidate will possess an understanding of applications and network architecture so as to effectively apply the principles of Information Assurance and Certification and Accreditation to various information systems. The candidate will have had prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies, be well versed in the current state of Information Security, and be able to interpret the requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, GAO, etc). The individual is required to perform as a senior information security analyst to conduct security assessments (Security Testing and Evaluation/ST&E) on federal information systems in a leadership role with one to five junior level security analysts on staff. The senior information security analyst is required to interface with federal employees, contractors, and other BearingPoint consultants for developing the security assessment report and supporting work paper references. Additionally, the senior information security analyst is responsible for the presentation of the vulnerability findings to the client. The security assessment activities include identifying NIST 800-53 requirements, gathering data via interview and controls examination, analyzing vulnerability scan data (e.g. Nessus, CIS benchmarks), developing reports, and quality assurance of the deliverables. The senior information security analyst will identify business development activities for potential growth of the BearingPoint Public Services group. Position-specific required skills: Working experience with NIST SP 800-53, Nessus, CIS benchmark tools, Windows Gold Disk, Nmap - 2 years Experience in report writing for NIST SP 800-53 controls, vulnerability scans, work paper documentation - 3 years Excellent communication skills for communicating with clients and contractors on site Minimum 3-5 years of Information Technology experience Minimum 2-4 years of experience with Information Security Minimum 1-3 year of Federal C&A Experience Bachelors degree in information technology related field Position-desired skills: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) Logistics: Work location is the Washington D.C.
