Mid-Level Design and Production Architect

Mid-Level Design and Production Architect Roman and Williams, an architecture and interior design firm located in downtown Manhattan, seeks a skilled design and drawing oriented architect with 5+ years of full-time professional experience. We are looking to add a team member to our commercial projects team. The team will focus on interior and furniture design as well as deal with components of faade and core/shell design. The ideal applicant should be familiar with our recently completed projects which portrays our specific design ethos and techniques. We seek architects, who have an interest in traditional architecture forms and construction techniques as well as materials new, old and re-defined. We value designers who have a strong understanding of the craft of drawing, design mechanics and beauty. Applicants should be able to work proficiently with standard computer production programs such as AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite. Working knowledge of 3-d modeling programs such as Rhino and Sketch-Up a plus. Hand sketching abilities are appreciated. For this position applicants must feel comfortable in ALL phases of document production, with a good eye for both presentation design and detail design.
