Copywriter Package Design (RHQ) Write accurate and compelling copy through insightful creativity and a keen understanding of sentence structure for packaging needs. Work in tandem with a team of packaging-savvy designers. Multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining marketing objectives and grammar consistency. Assist in product naming exercises. Target copy to specific ages and across multiple toy categories. Includes on line research for specific toy brands, such as those heavy in the science category. Assess packaging briefs, and consult with product development, merchant team and packaging to determine copy needs. This position requires a dedication to detail, and the skill to assess project needs to ensure adherence to deadlines. 1.Write / edit bulleted copy and paragraphs for product packaging. 2. Write / edit instruction manual copy. 3. Requires ability to follow instruction manuals to build / test toy products, in order to ensure copy is accurate to need. 4. Fact-check: includes on line research for specific toy brands, such as those heavy in the science category. 5. Assist in product naming exercises. 6. Successfully manage multiple brands and needs, while maintaining critical deadlines. Qualifications • BA or BFA degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field; 2 - 4 years experience in a related environment. Flexible team-player, willing to step in and assist packaging team with delivery of mock ups, print outs and spreadsheet manipulation, when time permits.
