Principal Systems Security Analyst

The SAIC Homeland Security Solutions Division is currently seeling an Principal Systems Security Analyst.

Job Description: Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organizations information security. Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to IT systems. Experience in several of the following areas is required: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology. Ability to serve as Information System Security Officer. Required Education: BS degree or 10 years of additional experience and 14 years of related experience.

Required Skills: Must have functional experience in incorporating security in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Certification and Accreditation, Risk Analyses, Contingency Planning, certification Testing, and Security Planning. Security monitoring support with IDS tools, security information management tools, and Web content filtering tools. Must have excellent writing skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Suitability and SAIC background investigation.

Desired Skills: Documentation, presentation, and facilitation experience preferred. MS Information Systems, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
