Data Architect

SAIC is seeking a Data Architect, contingent upon contract award, as part of a highly visible application development and integration effort within the biomedical domain using state of the art technologies. The individual will work as a self-motivated focused contributor willing to work on customer premises within the Washington DC area in a small team capacity. As a member of our team, the candidate must be experienced with data modelling in the biomedical domain and have a strong understanding of database technologies. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and foster strong customer relationships. The individual will develop data models based on scientific object models and design, implement, and document robust scripts supporting data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) processes.

Education: BS Computer Science, or computer related field (eg Engineering, Math). Masters in Computer Science desired.

Required Skills: 6+ years of experience in the following: Oracle, SQL; Biomedical Domain Knowledge
