A Global Financial Firm located in Newark, Delaware has an immediate Contract opportunity for an experienced Tech Lead. * NOTE: The lead is NOT responsible for people management. This candidate MUST be fully capable and willing to get hands-on with technology. However, the person needs to have worked in wide ranging technology and have the ability to look at the project at a high-level and help drive the technical aspects of the project. Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or 6 years of equivalent experience in a related field. General Experience: Must have 12 years of computer experience in developing complex Web based applications. Experience with complex SOA Web application with BI component is a plus. Specialized Experience: At least 8+ years of experience developing applications using Java/J2EE and Web Services. Experience in implementing critical Web based applications for high-availability applications and experience in SOA a great plus. Core Technologies Required: Java/J2EE, Design Patterns, UML/OOP, Websphere, Oracle, Sun Solaris, (Websphere Process Server, TIBCO, iLog is a Plus). Experience with Microstrategy in the BI space is preferable. Duties: Must be able to work in a team environment. Must have exposure to dealing with large functional teams and processes. - Must be able to help design/architect solutions (with the help of an in-house Architect) that meet the core application requirements - Must help define standards for the rest of the team to utilize to build out the application framework and rest of components - Help investigate technology where appropriate - Must be able to apply emerging technologies to the software development process as and when available and possible Desired Skills: Non-Tech Skills: Start Date: ASAP Emp.
