Position Summary: The development of an executive roadmap showing key changes and year-over-year improvements brought to cost, control and IT capacity. The Architecture Consultant will be accountable for creating and updating the Reference Architecture document, essential for specifically defining technical and configuration parameters necessary for meeting new demand. 50% participation in the Fusion Infrastructure Initiative is necessary to bring create a method that translates functional initiative requirements into standard, secure and reliable infrastructure capabilities. Responsibilities: Systems and Facility Define platform architecture standards: servers, storage and network Define platform configuration standards: devices, peripherals, operating systems Define data center configuration standards: power, cooling, placement, cabling, and physical security Evaluate technical changes at all levels to continuously improve predictable and rapid provisioning capability, with additional focus on capacity and utilization efficiency Lead enterprise calls / meetings relating to architecture Accountable for reference architecture and exception management through enterprise governance process: including differentiated options (requirements) based on availability and resiliency requirements Develop business cases for proposed architectural standards based on impact to key operational metrics, cost avoidance or hard dollar recovery Lead Problem Management process to identify root cause issues that resolve operational risks and proactively address threats Lead audits to ensure standard compliance for optimal enterprise stability and reliability Security Define enterprise security standards for operating systems, directories Define enterprise security standards for networks, firewalls Evolve and direct capability for efficient, secure user experience, including technologies delivering single sign-on and biometrics Lead audits to ensure security compliance for sites (physical), networks, operating systems, directories, data management and other areas of vulnerability by means of external attack or regulatory requirement Develop business cases for proposed security standards based on impact to predictable operations, vulnerability risk, cost avoidance or hard dollar recovery (e.g. compliance or regulatory) Core Competencies to be Successful: Strong technical skills balanced with strong analytical skills Customer/Quality focus Knowledge and expertise Teamwork/Collaboration ITIL Foundation+ Recommended Qualifications: Ability to work autonomously and build structured solutions through reliable work / engagement methods Highly structured engagement method that qualifies requirements / objectives, identifies options, evaluates risk / cost to achieve versus current state, summarize benefits, mobilize stakeholders, create implementation plans, and oversee delivery ? including use of existing risk, change and communication management capabilities Familiarity applying enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, FEAF) and enterprise security frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001/2) Detailed understanding of technology and system relationships Detailed and practical understanding of IT service management frameworks, including ITIL, COBIT and ISO/IEC 20000 15+ years experience for all responsibilities previously listed Demonstrated ability to deliver results in highly-leveraged, collaborative and geographically-dispersed work environments Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of enterprise-level information security in both in-sourced and out-sourced environments Demonstrated expertise in the identification and mitigation of international and regional legal, regulatory and legislative security, privacy and operational reporting requirements Detailed and practical understanding of existing and emerging information lifecycle management methodologies and their ability to impact IT service delivery and security Oral and written communication skills suitable for C-level communications and senior business partners Croop-LaFrance, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer Skillset: Please refer to job code 2361 when responding to this ad.
