General DescriptionsChristiana Care Heatlh System is currently recruiting for casual/temporary medical assistants to work an HRA project in Occupational Health.  This assignment will last approximately 6-8 weeks.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To assist physicians in the examination, treatment and specimen (venipuncture/fingerstick) collection for out-patients seeking services through Occupational Health.  To deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the unit with skills based on the Focus on Excellence program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requirements:

High School Graduate
Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or PCT Trained
2 years experience as a Medical Assistant or PCT
Phlebotomy experience preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
