Manager Business Development-MIM AutoReqId 116010BR Responsibilities As a Regional Manager of Business Development you will be responsible for growing business by selling Corporate Card and Corporate Purchasing Card solutions to clients with an annual sales revenue between $10M and $250M based in Westchester & Rockland counties in New York. Your ability to prospect, obtain appointments, sell & close business & implement a clients program is how success is attained. Managers of Business Development are always prospecting; you must effectively filter and qualify prospects and build a pipeline to ensure targets are met. Success is driven by your ability to research, prospect, sell how the American Express value can meet clients business objectives, quickly close business and implement a clients program. Required Qualifications To be successful in the Regional Manager of Business Development position you must have the proven ability to identify business opportunities and drive profitable new business for American Express Commercial Card. You will need to be able to develop an extensive network of contacts and/or relationships to identify new leads and manage pipelines. Must be able to research and develop an in-depth understanding of your territory, while being able to plan strategically. Regional Managers of Business development must have at least 3 years of solid business to business sales experience in a fast-paced environment, a proven track record of success in sales and extensive cold-calling/prospecting experience. Strong consultative selling skills are required to gain an in-depth understanding of the industry to provide solutions and build relationships with C-Level executives. This position is a pure business development sales position and requires cold call sales experience and success, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong follow up skills and solid relationship management skills.
