Pathologist Assistant

Pathologist Assistant Department: Histopathology Schedule: PRN / As needed with no guaranteed hours Shift: Evenings Hours: 5-8p Job Details: With moderate supervision, responsible for delivery of timely, high quality diagnostic information through efficient resource utilization maintaining regulatory compliance. Functions as a technical resource for the Pathologist in the submission of surgical and autopsy specimen sampling and collection of scientific information to ascertain the cause of death or disease process. There is reasonable anticipation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Requirements:Certification is required as a Pathologist Assistant or eligible by the American Society of Pathologist`s Assistants (AAPA) Must be enrolled in a Master of Science in Pathology program and within six months of program completion in order to be eligible for the position. Continued employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the Master of Science in Pathology program. Evening shift; # of hours vary based on workload.
