Title: Senior Marketing Analyst Location: NY-New York Avon Products is seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst to join its North America Sales Insights & Analytics team at its US headquarters in mid-town Manhattan, NYC. This position offers the opportunity to tackle key strategic as well as tactical questions impacting Avon's US Sales Organization. The Senior Analyst will deliver various strategic/analytical projects to help develop relevant and actionable insights/recommendations for the US Sales and Strategy teams. S/he is will also help drive implementation by working in close partnership with the managers/directors in the US Sales & Strategy and other departments such as Finance, IT and Operations. The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in the team's ability to advice the US Sales team on their decision-making process. S/he will execute independent research projects under the guidance of the Senior Manager and Vice President of North America Sales Analytics. The Senior Analyst is expected to bring both analytical and creative abilities to solving strategic issues involving US Sales. Typically, the Senior Analyst will work on a few, large core research projects driven primarily by the Senior Manager, plus a few other research projects independently. The Senior Analyst is also expected to build partnerships within the Sales & Strategy organizations. S/he must be able to exude confidence and display analytic/research expertise with Associates at the Executive Director levels and above. S/he will also build and maintain relationships with vendors, facilitating the successful completion of specific project goals. Education:BS, Marketing Science, Statistics, Business Economics or related field. Advanced Degree a plus, but not required. Functional Knowledge/Technical Expertise:Minimum 3 years experience in a Marketing Analytics or Consumer research, Consumer Packaged Goods or Consulting firm as Analyst. Proficiency in quantitative primary research techniques, particularly survey design, development, and execution as well as conjoint and/or discrete choice methods. Minimum of 1 year experience in statistical modeling required. Requires basic knowledge of Finance principles and Economics. A substantial working knowledge in PowerPoint and Excel is absolutely critical. Knowledge in other statistical software such as SPSS or SAS preferred. Must be open to learning SAS/SPSS and other Avon-specific applications for data extraction and analysis. Business Expertise:We are looking for highly motivated individuals who possess a strong analytical and strategic thinking skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. S/he should feel comfortable presenting to and advising senior executives when necessary. The analyst must be able to work well under pressure and be able to effectively manage multiple projects.
