Engineer Technician IV - supporting the DDG 51 Class Systems Branch Head (PMS 400D4).staff (PMS 400D41). Perform systems engineering analysis and coordinate emergent Machinery Control Systems and Electrical engineering issues between the Systems Engineering Branch head and his staff, the Ship Design Mangers, NAVSEA 05 Technical Codes, and the Shipbuilding community. Coordinate, participate in, and prepare minutes/action items for technical meetings including the MCS CCB, DDG Top Tech Issues, Liaison Visits, Shipbuilder Special Study, and emergent engineering issue meetings. Support DDG 51 Class Acceptance and Final Contract Trials (FCTs) by witnessing/participating in tests and certifications; providing recommendations on emergent engineering issues and to investigate & resolve PMS 400D41 screened trial cards. Gas Turbine Systems Technician with DDG 51 Machinery Control System experience or completed tour as a DDG 51 Chief Engineer (CHENG) or Main Propulsion Assistant (MPA).
