Geospatial Analyst - Updates geospatial, imagery, and standard databases to integrate incoming geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and geospatial open source information into the customers1/2 body of knowledge. Constructs and edits geospatial databases using GIS in a variety of formats and specifications for government and commercial customers. Ensures quality control of geospatial databases using automated software extensions. Creates static map graphics to visually communicate information in published articles, briefs, and core knowledge documents. Assists in the development of interactive map graphics for multimedia products. Performs geospatial analysis in existing databases to identify vulnerabilities, generate statistics, or discover correlating information. Briefs geospatial analysis results in formal settings. Visualizes 3D geospatial information to emphasize terrain elements. Authors reports or summaries that condenses GEOINT and geospatial analysis in published articles. Required The analyst has experience in many of the following software packages and extensions: ESRI ArcGIS 9.x desktop suite (such as ArcMap, ArcToolbox, ArcCatolog, ArcGlobe, ArcSDE, and ArcScene) and its production and analysis extensions such as Production Line Tool Set (PLTS), Data Interoperability, Geospatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Network Analyst, Network Engineer, GeoRover, Military Analyst, Job Tracking (JTX), and Map2PDF, BAE Systems SocetSet GXP, Leica Geosystems Erdas IMAGINE 9.x, GoogleEarth, RemoteView, FalconView, Wiki, Adobe Photoshop, GEMINI, WISE, IAS, IEC, NES, TouchTable. 8+ Years with HS or 5+ Years with AA or 2+ Years with BS 2-4 years experience using a GIS to construct, enhance, and edit vector and raster geospatial data. 2-4 years experience using a GIS in creation of map graphics for published articles, briefs, or multimedia projects. 2-4 years experience in ArcSDE and tabular databases such as GEMINI to consolidate incoming intelligence data. Desired 2-4 years experience in geospatial analysis using common ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ERDAS Imagine analysis extensions. Experience in briefing GEOINT and its analysis. Experience in authoring articles based on GEOINT and its analysis.
