Job description Systems and Technology Group has openings for graduate level co-ops / interns in development engineering to support our hardware and semiconductor products. We develop industry-leading hardware for IBM Systems, storage, and related products. Development engineers participate in various aspects of the development and test process, such as: circuit or logic design, verification, synthesis, physical design and layout, simulation, performance modeling, chip integration, design methodology, power optimization, architecture, mechanical design and technology integration, thermo and acoustic testing. Basic requirements: candidates should have strong programming (for example, C, VHDL, Verilog), design, test, and communication skills. Team-based experience in DSP, circuit/logic design, power systems, verification, analysis or testing is a plus. Candidates with at least 6 months of team-based working experience are preferred. Candidates working towards advanced degrees in fields related to computer hardware technology (for example, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering) will be considered. Candidates who are in different academic years (for example, combined BS/MS degrees) will also be considered. Positions may be available in different locations, including: Austin, Endicott, Essex Junction, Hopewell Junction, Kirkland, Poughkeepsie, Raleigh, Rochester, San Jose, or Tucson. Positions may be also available for different seasons and durations (for example, Summer / Fall, Summer only). Required * High School Diploma/GED * Basic knowledge in Computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and related fields * English: Basic knowledge  Preferred * Bachelors Degree in Engineering * At least 6 months experience in Computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and related fields  IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
