Public Policy Analyst Requisition #: 41768 Working Title: Law and Policy Analyst Role: ACRP Level: 4 Range: MF Status: Full Time Hours Worked: 37.5 Work Week: M-F Contact: 410-516-8048 Personnel Area: Academic Centers Org Unit: Genetics and Public Policy Center Location: Washington, DC Approximate Starting Salary: commensurate with experience General Description: Serves as key policy advisor to the Genetics and Public Policy Director on policy issues related to advances in genomics; performs legal and policy research and analysis; prepares policy papers, reports, talking points and other documents on policy and genomics; monitors adoption of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act; represents the Center on policy issues as directed. Qualifications: JD degree and 5 years related experience required. Additional related experience can substitute for education. Special skills and knowledge: Must have detailed knowledge of Federal legislative process and policymaking; extensive knowledge of current policy issues in the field of genomics and health; outstanding written and verbal skills and legal research and analytic skills. Must be able to complete work independently. NOTE: The successful candidate(s) for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
