Software QA Analyst Responsible for participating in all phases of the IT Project Delivery Process for each assigned project. Project participation should begin with the Requirements Phase ensuring that requirements are clearly defined and testable. Responsibilities may also include the creation and execution of detailed test plans and scripts to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements. Execution of scripts include progress reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments. Required to participate in internal process and procedure improvement projects. May be responsible for the maintenance, training, and information communications for tools used to support the product development process. May be responsible for the day-to-day management of software testers supporting software applications currently in production. Team size could range in size from 4 to 10 members. Responsibilities include capacity planning, budget tracking, monitoring testing standards and procedures, team member training and motivation, monitoring the adherence to IT Project Delivery Process and documentation requirements, and internal process and procedure improvement projects. Responsible for maintaining document template libraries and internal project documentation. Manage verification and validation activities for all Production modifications including projects, releases, and changes. Assess risk to quality based on results of verification and validation and making appropriate recommendations. Coordinate with other QA Leads, Project Managers, Development Managers, and QA Core members. Provide QA consultative services to support users of the process. Responsible for providing test team leadership for integration testing of cross-functional systems. . Has a moderate impact on the success of the functional area . Decisions are both tactical and strategic in nature. Day-to-day decisions are generally made without supervision or review. Varied scope of decision-making. . May have extensive interaction with internal and external customers, QA Leads, Project Managers, and Change Management representatives. * 4 years of Quality Assurance / Control experience with a thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and quality assurance methodology. * 4 year of experience working with developers, project and release managers. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong time, interpersonal and people management skills. * Experience with Mercury Test Tool Suite is highly desireable * Previous experience with project risk assessments and the communication of these assessments. * Thorough knowledge of current testing tools. * Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office products.
