Description Title: Research Animal Technician III/Associate Scientist I Location: CA, Mountain View - NON SALES Req: 01985 Position Summary: Major Duties and Responsibilities (including supervising others): In vivo study design, execution, data analysis and report writing in support of in -house Safety Testing that will be performed under GLP requirements. This position will also support and conduct Research and Development in vivo studies as needed. The incumbent will perform tasks with minimal supervision and be able to oversee portions of studies that might be performed by others in the department. This individual will take a leading role in GLP study performance. Position Requirements Special Skills/Abilities: GLP experience, AALAS certification preferred. Ability to perform procedures requiring significant manual dexterity. Will need excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with Principal Investigators as well as entry level husbandry staff. Job Complexity: Tasks are varied and moderately complex, requires ability to make independent judgments at times. Supervision: Minimal ? works independently (supervision required, level of independence) Educational Requirements Requirements/Qualifications: Education: B.S. in Biological Sciences field Experience: 3 to 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry setting performing GLP studies as well as other Research and Development studies.
