The Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University is seeking a Secretary to provide secretarial support to the Admissions Office and Doctoral Program. Responsibilities/Capabilities: * Handling of all telephone inquiries and conducting initial screenings of candidates via telephone, with professional etiquette * Responding to written requests for information about the program and bringing likely candidates to the attention of the Programs Directors * Preparing and mailing admissions packets; processing outgoing applications and reviewing incoming applications for accuracy and completion * Scheduling initial and follow-up interviews * Initiating and maintaining communication with applicants, and tracking responses regarding offers of admission * Coordinating with Financial Aid and Registrars offices and communicating and troubleshooting with students regarding admissions, financial aid and registration processes * Processing written communication regarding acceptance, rejection, etc. and preparing monthly status reports * Set up and maintain data-based management and filing systems (automated and hard copy) * And other duties as assigned Requirements: A High School diploma and four years of secretarial experience, including experience with data entry, are required. Completion of at least some college coursework is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc) is a must. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, excellent writing skills and the ability to multitask and work independently.
