Responsibilities The Senior Manager, Healthcare Consulting is a key role in the DC office. It is a local role that requires little or no travel. This individual will grow, develop and manage a team of healthcare business consultants as well as define consulting projects, arrange work, staff teams, achieve profitability goals, develop personnel and ensure client satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for supporting new business generation and managing the client service offerings from initial strategy through the completion of the deliverables. He/she will analyze the strategic and tactical needs of clients and develop and manage deliverable solutions to address those needs. Qualifications: The Candidate Having 12 - 15 years experience in the consulting industry delivering a diverse range of client services, the successful candidate will be a seasoned management consultant capable of leading execution teams and developing deep client relationships. This individual will possess a demonstrated ability to develop client engagements, lead project teams and recruit superior talent. Healthcare subject matter expertise should include a combination of process improvement, organizational design and change management, technology selection/implementation and/or business strategy development and execution. * Additional skills in revenue cycle management, EMR and/or clinical system implementations a plus. * Preferred experience in major payors: Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Crosses, Cigna, United and Aetna * Understanding of the dynamics of the Healthcare Savings Account (HSA) and other Consumer Driven approaches and their impact on the revenue cycle and healthcare, in general. * Experience with the business processes that are part of the revenue cycle The successful candidate will provide the leadership and energy required to grow a successful service area in North Highlands highly entrepreneurial environment. Education A bachelor degree in a business related discipline, engineering or computer science is required. A masters degree is desirable. Compensation Compensation will include fixed and variable (performance driven) components.
