The ideal candidate will have expert level knowledge of network infrastructure threats, identifying and mitigating security gaps, in addition to experience working on and implementing changes on large networks. This position will have to work independently to identify and remediate potential threats, as well as work as part of a team to accomplish larger tasks and projects meeting company goals and objectives. This role will combine challenging technical and strategic goals with security focused internal client interactions. The right personality is as important as your technical skills! Key Security Areas: * 5+ years experience implementing and supporting Cisco security products. * Advanced knowledge of Cisco security products including firewalls (PIX and ASA), routers and switches, IDS/IPS sensors, MARS, CSA / HIPS, Wireless LAN controllers, NAC and management tools like the CSM. * Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPN, as well as SSL VPN, with ACS or RADIUS. * Experience with NAC and SSO concepts beneficial. * Advanced knowledge of Windows and *nix Server hardening, as well as client OS hardening * Knowledge of Windows security tools and products including PKI and ISA, as well as security concepts like Netlogon logging, and Group Policy. * Knowledge of third party security tools including Anti Virus (Trend Micro, Symantec, Forefront) and web filter proxies like Websense. * Knowledge of security concepts and tools, including vulnerability scanners and detectors like Nessus, Paros, WebInspect, Secunia, etc. * Familiar with Hard Drive encryption technologies and techniques * Experience with PGP * Experience with Honey Pot deployment and monitoring * Familiar with security websites and vulnerability disclosure reports from Mitre, SANS, Security Focus, Microsoft and Cisco * Experience with virus breakout mitigation and prevention * Familiar with forensic investigation tools and techniques, as well as chain of custody * Ability to develop strategic technical documentation and written communications relative to field of expertise (Security Policies, standards documents, procedural documents) Desired Experience General Requirements: * 7-10 years of experience in a large corporate environment is required, perm or consulting role. * Bachelors degree with a concentration in computer science, management information systems or related field or equivalent experience, and five to ten years of experience in Information Technology industry, including two to five years of experience in an Information Technology consulting or senior role. * 8+ years supporting Windows or Unix servers, and network infrastructure (AD experience desired). * Must work well with other system engineers on the team as well as provide support to other departments including Audit and Legal. * Ability to communicate (verbal, written, presentation) with all levels of internal and external customers. * Demonstrated planning and organization skills. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member. * Demonstrated ability to set priorities and to respond to changing demands from multiple sources. * Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in applying established techniques, procedures or standards; demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. * Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. * Ability to respond to issues and concerns 24 hours a day; ability to work additional hours; and flexibility to travel, domestically 10% of the time.
