*Pending C-17 Training System Sustainment program award* Instructors shall be competent subject matter experts who are also trained in the methodology of instruction. They shall be proficient in evaluating, diagnosing, and critiquing student performance; identifying learning difficulties; recognizing objectives not accomplished; and prescribing and conducting remedial instruction. Instructors shall also be capable of identifying and resolving course/lesson deficiencies. Instructors shall be qualified in multi-engine transport/tanker aircraft. All instructors teaching formal school courses shall have an associate degree or higher from an accredited school. Those instructors who teach airdrop mission courseware must have documented tactical/airdrop experience. Instructors for the C-17 shall have been qualified in transport (i.e., C-130, C-17, C5, C-141) aircraft as an aircraft Instructor Loadmaster. The C-17 ATP instructor certification and training program will include an instructor continuation training and evaluation program to ensure instructors possess and maintain appropriate training expertise. Desired Minimum Instructor Loadmaster/Flight Engineer Requirements: ? Fixed Wing Multi-engine qualified within the last two (2) years ? 1000 hours total flying time with a minimum of 500 hours in fixed wing aircraft ? 500 hours as a qualified aircraft loadmaster instructor.
