We are currently seeking an Associate to join us in our New York office focused on the pharmaceutical and broader life sciences industry. KPMG ForensicSM assists organizations in their efforts to achieve the highest level of business integrity through the detection, prevention and investigation of fraud and misconduct. Our Forensic professionals strive to not only help our clients discover the facts underlying concerns about fraud and misconduct, but also assist clients in assessing their vulnerabilities to such activities, and in developing controls and programs to address these risks. Responsibilities: Work effectively with both client and firm personnel from a variety of disciplines and at various levels to provide advisory solutions to the life sciences industry primarily related to contract, compliance and litigation driven business matters Execute work plans in areas such as investigations, assessments and operational improvements related to matters Interview clients and assess external sources for the purpose of effectively obtaining relevant information Effectively synthesize and analyze information received including very large dataset analysis in MS Access and/or SQL Server databases Assist in preparing clear, logical and concise presentations and reports Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services Assist in developing and marketing new service offerings to the industry Supervise and mentor team members Qualifications: One or more years of experience working in the life sciences industry or providing professional services to the industry in areas such as: Government Pricing including Medicaid Rebates, Medicare ASP, VA Pricing and the 340B/PHS Program; Commercial contracting including chargebacks, rebates and administrative fees as well as co-promotion, contract manufacturing and royalty agreements; Sales and Marketing Compliance including aggregate spend, PhRMA/AdvaMed Codes, off-label marketing, kickbacks, FCPA and fair market value; Government Grants and Contracts including the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Cost Accounting Standards Experience with one or more of the following departments: Internal Audit, Compliance, Contracts, Grants, Information Technology and Legal Hands-on experience working with very large datasets, procedures and controls or software systems around contracts, government pricing and/or healthcare practitioner spend data Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university Ability to travel at moderate to extensive levels KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
