You will be responsible for providing the full range of HR service and support to both the Operating Committee in New York and key business leaders in RBC Functions and Technology & Operations. To support business strategies and enterprise agenda through the development, advancement and execution of RBC HR strategic objectives and solutions. Key Accountabilities: ? Provide direct guidance to Senior Executive, Business Unit Heads, and their respective executive teams on all aspects of workforce management and change including organization design, role design, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, employee development and enablement. All elements of this mandate will be completed in partnership with and through the support of HR Centres of Expertise and Shared Services Centres. Advance and execute the RBC HR strategic objectives. Act on behalf of managers and employees as their advocate. Change Management and Culture Change ? Reinforce and embed new and emerging change agenda through the implementation of targeted HR initiatives determining the most effective way to carry out practices for the business/client group Key Business Initiatives ? Align with business leaders in the creation and execution of overall business strategies ? At initial planning stages and throughout the business cycle, advise senior business leaders on potential HR contributions, solutions, implications and risks of proposed business initiatives. Advise on group and platform strategies to source, retain and develop Human Capital in order to meet business needs Leadership Development ? Leads with the business in assessing and strengthening leadership depth and employee capability through support of integrated leadership programs and development opportunities ? Conducts leadership debriefs and development driving the cultural change for senior talent and executive equivalent as required Workforce / Talent Management ? Partner with Business leaders in planning, development and enablement of an agile, adaptable and highly competent workforce ? Partners with the HR community to identify emerging market trends and brings that knowledge back to the business in order to successfully plan for short and long term workforce issues and succession requirements ? Advances the talent review and succession processes to ensure the most effective use of talent and resources ? Ensures employee development needs are identified and acted upon through developmental assignments or appropriate learning intervention ? Embeds and promotes the Total Rewards philosophy and approach ? Supports Diversity council in the implementation of initiatives. ? Drives integrated approach to Managerial Excellence Performance Management ? Provides leadership and direction in establishing performance management practices/processes for individual business units in line with business strategy and culture Compensation & Governance ? Provide guidance and direction on compensation processes with businesses (LTI, STI, Base Salary, etc.) ? Contributes to the development and evolution of compensation-related programs for individual business units and employee segments using sound knowledge of HR policies, standards and practices to support good governance ? Ensures the business/function and legal entity is adhering to all applicable legislation and policies related to employee matters (i.e. pay equity, employment equity, etc.) Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): Significant (7+ years) experience and knowledge in Human Resources with a Fortune 500 company (Capital Markets background preferred) Knowledgeable in the following HR disciplines: US employment law, employee relations practices, compensation, benefits, recruitment and learning Ability to work under pressure at multiple levels of HR strategy and implementation Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and presentation skills Strong collaborative skills with the ability to influence and have impact on key decisions Strong coach and HR expert who can provide sound counsel and judgement Bachelors Degree Excellent relationship building skills and proven ability to provide value added consultative service.
