This position will assist the Principal Investigator in the various aspects of animal and cell physiology in support of an NIH funded study. Incumbent will manage rodent studies requiring handling of rats and mice, including injections, urine collections and husbandry; Record physiological data and collect biological fluids for analysis;Analyze biological fluids from experimental rats and mice for a series of biochemical assays such as protein determinations and enzyme activity. This position will be responsible for multiple experimental and analytical methods that will affect NIH-funded studies. In addition to the research performed, the role of this individual will also focus on maintaining a safe and organized environment for the laboratory. This position requires a Bachelors degree with 1 year experience working with experimental animals and performing physiological studies.
