As a Pre-Sales ISS Solution Architect at HP, you will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and will be regarded as a subject matter expert within HP. You will frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods and work on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. You will be able to exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. You will leads and/or provide expertise to functional project teams, be asked to participate in cross-functional initiatives and provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Primary Responsibilities: * Identify, develop, qualify and close HP Industry Standard Server hardware, software and services solutions * Create and execute to a detailed sales plan to achieve revenue objectives * Develop and maintain close working relationships with appropriate internal resources (ISS BU, EAMs, pre-sales, inside sales) and external resources i.e. VMware, Intel, Oracle * Participate in account planning and strategy activity * Drive Blade Adoption and know how to appropriately leverage BladeSystem sales and support resources * Present and Demonstrate HP Insight Software * Develop a high level of knowledge on HP Insight Software; the competition, pricing market share, and differentiate HP BladeSystem and DL Server Platforms Qualifications Requirements: Must possess an active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph Must have a minimum of 7 years technical field sales experience selling Industry Standard Server Solutions, preferrably to the Intelligence Community across multiple levels Possess sound technical knowledge (Hands -on LINUX, Windows, Hardware, Storage and Mission Critical Concepts) Be perceived as a recognized industry leader in the Intelligence Community Preferably in an ISS delivery or Pre-Sales role Excellent customer and communication and presentation skills Strong technical sales & negotiation skills Ability to travel up to 50% Bachelors (undergraduate) degree or equivalent experience preferably in technical field Job - Sales Primary Location - United States-Maryland - Bethesda Other Locations - United States-District of Columbia - Washington, United States-Virginia - Falls Church, United States-Maryland - Columbia, United States-Virginia - Reston Schedule - Full-time Job Type - Experienced Shift - Day Job Travel - Yes, 50% of the time Please refer to job code 1709589 when responding to this ad.
