CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department seeks an outstanding teacher with leadership potential to fill a Lecturer position. The successful candidate is expected to teach large and small lectures at the freshman level, oversee and assist adjunct lecturers, and work with the laboratory staff to oversee the laboratory program.

Hunter College is one of the eleven senior colleges of the City University of New York with close to 20,000 students. The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department has more than 200 majors and serves approximately 3000 students, most in the introductory-level courses, each year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelors degree area(s) of expertise and other qualifications noted below as being necessary for satisfactory performance of job duties.  Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry as well as a clear record of outstanding teaching and demonstrated interest in chemical pedagogy at the college level.
