Solutions Architect

Smartronix, Inc. is currently seeking a Solutions Architect in support Chief Technology Organization to provide for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet our customers? needs on high-visibility projects. The Solution Architect will partner with key roles (e.g. PM, Engineers, SME, etc.) to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to our customers preferred IT Strategy and leverage common solutions and services, to meet key project goals. Within the solution development lifecycle, this role will be responsible for solution evaluation and selection, project estimates supporting the business case, high level design, envision a technical strategy and lead solution delivery efforts. This role will provide guidance and architectural oversight during the detailed architecture design, application design, build, test and deploy phases.

Required Skills

This Solution Architect will be responsible for the many of the following:

Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices

Ability to gather customer requirements and translate those requirements into short and long term technology strategies or new services offerings.

Ensuring that solutions leverage industry best practices

Provide support to the business development/capture process, including: vetting customer requirements, presenting solutions to customers, and working with industry to develop new and innovative solutions to fulfill customer requirements.

Work in tandem with high-caliber technical staff to deliver solutions.

Assess and recommend architectural designs/changes to existing systems.

Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lead teams in the design and deployment of complex solution involving multiple vendor technologies.

Demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective

Deep understanding in multiple technology areas below:

- Microsoft Operating Desktop and Server Systems, Microsoft Active Directory

- Enterprise Messaging (e.g. email, remote access, mobile devices)

- Databases

- Portal solutions and frameworks (e.g. .Net 2.0, .Net 3.0, C#)

- Enterprise content management

- Service oriented architecture (SOA) ? Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), integration patterns, application adapters

- Virtualization Environments to include large scale deployment and design for server, application and desktop virtualization

- Experience designing and implementing storage solutions in a large enterprise environment including: High performance and available SAN, NAS, CAS and Archive/VTL tiered storage systems

- Understanding of computer server architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP)

- Understanding of systems management concepts, processes and standards (eg SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network management

- Tier 4 Support of enterprise environments

- Familiarity the principles of ITIL and Service Management
