The Boarding and Activations Support Analyst is responsible to identify / analyze business impacts, current and potential problems and propose solutions that include preparing requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations. This individual is responsible for the analysis and education of stakeholders, planning and / or execution of projects from discovery to implementation including understanding all project and business requirements, management of cross-functional teams, identifying and resolving issues, and project tracking to ensure on-time, on-budget and in-scope delivery. This includes coordination of resources and communication with key stakeholders utilizing established tools and processes found within the team charter. This position plays a critical role in identifying opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance revenue and improve organizational efficiency. Must have strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills as well as assume leadership of others without direct authority. Manages multiple medium to large, complex initiatives. Supports diverse initiatives to increase system and industry knowledge as well as strengthen portable project management skills. Must exemplify a strong drive for excellence, a strong ability to impact and influence as well as navigate through change. Must have extensive background knowledge of technical, functional and operational aspects of First Data products, services, policies and procedures and those specific to the areas supported. Responsible for delivering well organized data to the stakeholders and key business units that will promote the education on identified business opportunities and be instrumental in advocating change in operational and business area processes. This includes facilitating meetings and conducting presentations with senior-level management. Communication is effective, professional, engaging. Ability to deliver / communicate difficult / sensitive information tactfully with resolve. Provides expertise in modeling / mapping of business processes, suggests areas of improvement, makes recommendations / formulates multiple possible solutions and leads the business sponsor and business units to write business requirements to insure client and market needs are met. Identifies clients organizations current processes strengths / weaknesses. Performs complex analysis to include process assessments, risk analysis and financial benefit / impacts to the organization on highly visible, complex projects. Candidate Requirements 2 or 4 year college degree in Accounting, Administration, Business, Computer Science or Finance or equivalent experience. Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills. Demonstrated skill to "think outside the box" and challenge the status quo. Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection. Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans. Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction and altering priorities. Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to handle multiple initiatives and assignments. Knowledge of product/software development processes. Effective communication skills and the ability to present succinctly in a variety of internal and external communication settings and styles. Comprehensive knowledge of FDC product offerings and a broad network of contacts. Demonstrable PC skills, including flowcharting, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (MS Office). Experience working in a large scale organization desired. Ability to take Six Sigma awareness/concepts and apply to projects as necessary. Works with minimal supervision. Ability to take direction from someone that is remotely located. Resolves most questions and problems independently, referring only the most complex to the higher level. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure. Knows where to go for answers; utilizes resources efficiently. Ability to persist despite obstacles and opinions. Deals with people on a rational, thoughtful basis when in a mental and emotional stress situation.
