Occupational Therapist - LTC

Job Description Provides therapeutic care including assessment, planning, and implementation of treatment of patients who have been referred by a physician for rehabilitative care. Conducts therapeutic activities. Education: Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school. Licensed and certified to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Maryland. Experience: None Skills: Verbal and written communication. Physical Requirements: Visual acuity; manual dexterity and physical mobility; hear and orally communicate. Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs). Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients; prolonged standing/walking; intermittent exertion when performing treatments. Working Conditions: Possible exposure to chemicals, such as acids/alkalis, solvents, soaps/detergents, and cytotoxic drugs. Possible exposure to blood/body substances. Flexing to other MedStar programs and/or sites may be required. Attendance Requirement: Regular job attendance is an essential job function.
