Market Development Representative Intern (Part-Time)

Connect by Hertz Car Sharing is an exciting new service, offering fuel efficient cars by the hour. Car-sharing helps people save time, money and the environment. We are actively recruiting for Marketing Development Representatives for our New York City Locations. Mandatory Requirements: We are looking for ambitious extroverted individuals to become a Marketing Development Representative (MDR) with the Connect by Hertz Street Team. Marketing Development Representatives will help promote Connect by Hertz in the New York City Area. MDRs are the eyes and ears of Connect Car Sharing- scouting for marketing opportunities. They are the arms and legs of Connect by Hertz- running special events, transporting cars and taking care of all Street Team responsibilities. MDRs overall goal is to create awareness of the Hertz Car Sharing brand and service while increasing membership uptake.. Job Responsibilities: * Educate the public about Connect by Hertz by attending events and interacting with potential members to build awareness and provide an overview of car sharing. * Implement localized marketing plan based on guidance and input from the Marketing Team. * Ensure vehicle locations are stocked with proper marketing material including signage and brochures. * Selling Hertz Car Sharing memberships * Event set-up and breakdown * Perform Quality Checks on Hertz vehicles for proper maintenance and cleanliness * Move vehicles when needed Preferred Requirements: Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent * 20 years of age or older * Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record * Required to work a minimum of 12 hours/week and up to 25 hours/week * Must have excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to confidently approach members of the public * Dependable * Ability to adapt to changing work environments Possess strong communication skills and enjoys a challenge.
