Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Occasionally responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Understands a broad spectrum of HP technology in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements. Often leads small to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate. Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment. Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments. Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement. Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment. Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value. Demonstrates execution of the HP strategy. Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learnings are documented and shared. Role models Focuses on single customer. Solves diverse and complex. May lead a project team. Qualifications Position Prerequisites:Specific Description: The successful Candidate will support the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Electronic Records Archives (ERA) Program. This position involves hands- on COTS integration, requiring strong technical skills (i.e., this is not a coordination role). The successful Candidate will support the Infrastructure software team in the design, implementation, software development, COTS configuration, and system integration problem resolution activities. The Ideal Candidate will have significant experience in related disciplines, including information technology, software/hardware engineering, web development, lab management and program management. Required Skills: The successful Candidate will have current hands-on experience with the integration of COTS products into a Service Oriented Architecture; ability to assess day-to- day technical issues and develop practical solutions to ensure compliance with technical requirements while meeting Program schedule requirements. Must have the ability to work effectively with customers, peers, and NARA Team Members and possess excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation skills and ability to articulate ideas and solutions concisely. The successful Candidate will have current knowledge/experience with: * Application and web servers * BEA WebLogic * Linux & Windows 2003 Server operating systems * Middleware, such as BPEL, BPM and xForms * Storage systems, such as SAN, NAS, HSM and distributed file systems * XML datastores * Relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL * Script development Education: Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 to 7 years of professional experience. Citizenship: The Candidate must be a citizen of the United States. A candidate that is a U.S. permanent resident alien (green card holder) or a candidate that holds dual citizenship is not acceptable.
