SUMMARY The Research Analyst is responsible for researching and responding in a timely and accurate manner to customer inquiries related to secondary market information on municipal bond securities. Another main component of this position includes identifying data quality issues, recommending procedural and technical changes to improve productivity and data quality for Interactive Data teams. The Research Analyst will be expected to stay current in Industry initiatives and organizations that impact the data covered. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Address client inquiries by confirming existing information and/or provide additional information when internal and external customers inquire about data discrepancies. The analyst will research information on initial sources and verbal discussions with underwriters, financial advisors, agencies, trustees, etc. Research requests for new issues disseminated via the SPER (Securities Problem and Escalation Repository). Work with Process Improvement and Contact Management to achieve common goals of improving data quality, accuracy and timeliness. Communicate, verbally and writing, with Customer Services and Evaluated Services. Maintain daily/weekly/monthly statistics and metrics of client inquiries. Qualifications: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Knowledge of municipal bond securities is required. A Basic understanding of how the data is represented in Interactive Data products. The ability to work in a group toward common goals. Proficiency in time management and good organizational skills. Strong Customer Services Skills Good written and verbal communication skills. Good average PC and Excel skills.
