A major manufacturing company, located near Bridgewater, NJ is seeking a Manufacturing AutoCAD Project Development Engineer. This person will manage the APQP process for new programs. This person will train production personnel and work with Process Engineering to transfer new programs to production. This person will interact with customers and other technical personnel to assist with the development and design of the product and processes to improve functionality and manufacturability. This person will identify and select equipment and technologies to be used for new products and processes; develop preventative maintenance plans; and conduct FMEA, DOE, and SPC analysis and use other quality tools to fulfill customer requirements and manufacturing initiatives. This person will be involved with GD and T to interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerance. This person will provide technical guidance and direction for manufacturing; participate in research and development activities in terms of process implementation and validation of processes / products, process improvement and metrics; and provide input for new product equipment selection, installation, and maintenance. This person will write detailed work instruction-level documents for manufacturing operations and related areas; summarily train personnel in these instructions and other technical process controls; and conduct engineering studies and analyze data. This person will map work flow(s) and develop process control plans; direct the validation activities for new tools, processes, and equipment; and develop and submit validation packages for customer approval of new parts, design modifications, and / or process changes. This person will develop and evaluate inspection methods and measurement capabilities; and evaluate process stability and capability. Requirements: A Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Engineering with three years of related experience in manufacturing environment (metal stamping or medical device experience preferred) is required. Good communication skills are required. This person must be a team player, with the ability to multi-task; and knowledge and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is required. Knowledge of AutoCAD Design software; Microsoft Office and Minitab Statistical Software is required. Preferred skills and experience include Blueprint reading including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD/T), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA, GR/R, etc.), the design of experiments (DOE), and experience in metal stamping or other high volume manufacturing field.
