Quality Engineer ? 1st Shift Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Mfg in-process quality and final quality of L-3 products through audits and inspections and data review. - Coordinates quality activities related to Engineering, Manufacturing and other functions to assist with the implementation of assigned Quality Control operations. - May perform process control studies and establish process controls. - Review and disposition non-conforming material from Shop Operations. - May conduct audits and inspections and recommend corrective actions or improvement opportunities. - Interfacing with Customers during product audits and surveys. - Interfacing with Supplier representatives. - Develop inspection Procedures and Criteria for acceptance. Minimum Experience/Educational Qualifications - Assoc. Degree or two (2) year Technical school. Preferred BS EE/ME. - 5-10 years experience in Manufacturing Operations of electronic assemblies. - Proficient in reading Specifications and Engineering documentation. - Experience with Test specifications and equipment. - Knowledgeable in SMT Surface Mount Technology: printing, placement and soldering processes. - Knowledgeable in Quality Data reporting using MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint. - Knowledgeable of Statistical Process Control techniques and statistics. - Experience with auditing. - Active Security Clearance required - U.S. Citizenship required. - Willing to work 2nd shift if required. - Knowledgeable in wiring harness specifications & requirements. - Able to obtain a Certification in ANSI-J-STD-001 and NASA standards. Desirable Experience/Education Qualifications - Proficient in development of manufacturing flow processes and developing inspection plans and inspection procedures, workmanship criteria - Strong computer skills specifically Access or other database - Knowledgeable in Part Specification; Identification marking, Packaging.
