Description: - Gov Solutions Consultant (Fed) (LEX00212) Gov Solutions Consultant (Fed) LexisNexis : United States-District of Columbia-Washington Description These positions exist within the Risk Solutions Federal Sales group. The purpose of the position is to increase revenue and preference, retain client base and serve as subject matter expert and sales advisor for internal and external customers. Consults with clients on applications training, product usability, best practices, product enhancements and new content. Contributes to sales cycles through lead generation, feature and content add-on up-sells in base, product demos and trials/evaluation periods. Works closely with end-users and key customer influencers to expand usage, increase solutions awareness, build product preference, gather competitive intelligence and product feedback.Increase revenue and preference for LexisNexis products through application training. Support and develop government customers use of the LexisNexis solutions through consultative training and soft-selling. Teach users how to research investigative, business and legal issues using LexisNexis products. Develop and maintain relationships with customers while growing revenue and base business. Identify sales opportunities and assist with new sales or existing sales efforts through effective communication with (sales) program managers, account managers and account executives. Position requires five to seven overnight travel stays per month, At times, significant travel will be required for this position. This position supports the federal government agency accounts. Qualifications BS/BA or equivalent. Any of the following to equal 2-3 years of experience in teaching, sales, and project management strongly desired. Critical skills include: Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills to cover broad range of government customers, Sales or sales-support background to co- manage base business with account teams. Needs training and/or consulting experience. Experience conducting Federal Government investigations in law enforcement agencies strongly desired. Familiarity with LexisNexis products and services desired.
