Our Spring 2010 Internship Program is For Credit ONLY and can be part-time or full-time. Opportunities are available in New York City as well as our headquarters in North Bergen, New Jersey. The Spring 2009 program will run from: February 1, 2010 - April 30, 2010 Corporate logistics is responsible for designing, implementing and managing all transportation programs for the brands. We position ourselves as a third party provider. Our objective is to understand each brands business objectives and to build a transportation program that supports their business plan. Corporate logistics collects data related to the physical and financial flows. This data is used to: educate and influence our customers, manage our service providers, and remain price competitive. Responsibilities: The responsibility of the intern would be to help develop logistics key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success. The ideal candidate would have a general understanding of logistics, with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel, or Access would be required. This position would interact with the logistics business analysts, who are responsible for logistics data and measures. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications (must have) - Currently enrolled in college - A Sophomore, Junior or Senior - Eligible to receive college credit for the internship - Minimum 2.8 GPA - Prior retail experience is a plus! Preferred Qualifications: ? Preferred Major(s): Finance, Economics, Business, etc. ? Self starter ? Effective at written and verbal communication ? Superior organizational skills to track time spent on projects ? Exceptional interpersonal skills ? Strong analytical abilities. ? Proficiency in PC skills (preferably with the Microsoft Office suite of products)
