Overview: The Senior Tax Manager for Accounting, Planning and Reporting will report to the Tax Director and be primarily responsible for the supervision of the global preparation and review of the consolidated quarterly accounting for income taxes, the preparation/review of the consolidated annual accounting for income taxes, assist in the preparation of the federal consolidated income tax return and assist in tax planning related to the effective tax rate, cash taxes paid, acquisitions, divestitures and other business transactions. In furtherance of the roles primary responsibility, the Senior Tax Manager will liaise with various headquarters and field accounting and tax personnel throughout the world to ensure that all income tax and/or related accounts are fairly stated in accordance with US GAAP and to ensure that the Tax Planning, Tax Payment and Tax Compliance functions within the department are adequately informed regarding the content of all US GAAP accounts Responsibilities: ? Preparation/review of the consolidated and subsidiary accounting for income taxes under FAS109, FIN48 and APB28/FIN18 inclusive of related Footnote disclosures for 10Qs and 10K ? Review and approve all tax account balances in the general ledger including the preparation and approval of the appropriate quarterly and annual accounting for income tax journal entries ? Coordinate and administer the global accounting for income tax requirements and related SOX controls including but not limited to: information management, calendar, internal and external reporting with all relevant personnel to ensure that tax processes are sufficient to avoid any audit adjustments or deficiencies in the global accounting for income taxes ? Assist in the management, modeling, forecast and planning related to the Companys global effective tax rate and global cash tax sources/uses ? Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate tax planning strategies to achieve the Companys strategic and/or tax objectives. ? Interface with various departments and personnel (Accounting & Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, Internal Audit, Legal, Treasury, etc.) on a regular basis ? Assist in the Preparation/Review of consolidated Federal tax return including preparation and/or review of separate company Federal returns ? Assist in the Preparation/Review of various Federal partnership, foreign corporation, foreign partnership and foreign disregarded entity tax filings ? Assist in drafting responses to IDRs related to Federal audits ? Assist with other tax department special projects ? Develop and maintain a knowledge of Global, Federal and state income tax laws and current developments Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ? Bachelors degree in accounting ? Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience which should include Big 4 public accounting firm & large multinational corporate tax department ? Knowledge of the Retail and/or Apparel industries desired but not required ? PC knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office applications ? Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills ? Self starter PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? CPA and Masters degree in taxation preferred ?
