The Research Assistant will work with the Corporate Ratings team. Research Assistants are primarily responsible for generating and inputting appropriate financial and economic data from/to PC/Mainframe databases, retrieving source documents, and updating ratings data assisting the analytical staff.

Under limited supervision, Research Assistants will also perform some or all of the following:

* Contact source of information to gather required documentation as specified by group document checklists. * Extract financial and economic data from source materials pertinent to assigned deals and inputs to group applications. * Generate reports from computer systems. * Update gross debt volume. * Work in conjunction and at the direction of senior analysts in preparing necessary information for rating committee presentations. * Maintain adherence to deadlines. * Maintain related records and files. * May answer mail or telephone inquiries.

* This is a Guild Represented Position

Qualifications

* An undergraduate degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or Math. * Strong verbal communication skills * Strong analytical skills (requirement) * Strong written communication skills (requirement) * The ability to work well in teams (requirement) * Customer service orientation (requirement) * The ability to organize, meet deadlines and to multitask (requirement) * Good problem solving skills (requirement)
