Intern, Human Resources

The HR Intern will be responsible for providing support in the daily operations of the Human Resources Department at NYCEDC.

Responsibilities

* Provide support to the Human Resources department as directed. * Assist with data entry in ABRA HRIS system and manual HR files. * Assist in the administration of employee benefit plans. * Assist in audit of HR/Payroll files. * Create and distribute departmental correspondence. *  Assist with organizational development and training strategies to prepare client groups for future growth. * Assist with recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in college or university * Strong skills in MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. * Must have excellent written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and ability to communicate with employees of all levels. * Basic knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, compliance and other legislation is a plus * ABRA HRIS skills are a plus.
