DUTIES:(The duties described reflect the full performance level of this position) Prepares instructions and guidance in the implementation and operation of accounting procedures/programs. Reviews and analyzes internal review activities for accuracy, timeliness, and attainment of audit resolution. Evaluates findings for compatibility with audit resolution. Provides recommendations on problems or issues related to audit processes and procedures. Analyzes current and/or required accounting procedures to design new or revise/improve processes. Validates current processes with respect to regulatory requirements. Computes and predicts effects of changes in operating programs. Provides advice and assistance on financial matters. Analyzes current and/or required accounting systems to design new or improved systems. Identifies and specifies business requirements for accounting systems and develops basic specifications.
