A key member of the HR leadership team, The Director of Benefits, reports to the Vice President of Human Resources, and is responsibile for the planning, design, development, implementation, administration and communication of the Universitys benefits and work life plans for appoximately 8,500 faculty, staff, and retirees, on the Main Campus and at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). Additionally this position provides expert advice and counsel to the senior management of the university regarding benefits and work-life issues. Duties include monitoring the cost and usage of benefit and work life plans and programs on an on-going basis and developing recommendations as appropriate. Serves as liaison to insurance carriers, vendors, brokers and consultants. Counsels and advises prospective and current faculty and staff on all aspects of benefits. Works with the child care working group to continue the Universitys family friendly initiatives. Hires, trains, develops, and manages a benefits team of approximately 6 staff members.
