Princeton University and Harvard University jointly founded the fellowship program for the advanced study of Chinas international relations, the Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program (CWP), in 2005. The programs co-directors are Thomas J. Christensen of Princetons Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and Alastair Iain Johnston of Harvards Government Department. The China and the World Program supports research that integrates theoretical innovations in the field of international relations with the rigorous study of Chinas interactions with countries, regions, institutions, and non-state actors.
