Princeton HealthCare System is currently searching for an Operations Manager Outpatient Rehabilitation for Merwick Care Center. The main function of the Rehab Manger Diversified Services is to coordinate the delivery of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Acupuncture and Audiology Services of the Merwick, Cranbury, Fitness and Wellness Center, , and Lawrenceville Outpatient Units. This includes assisting in budget preparation, recruiting, orienting, supervising, evaluating, and scheduling staff, monitoring and reporting quality through the Quality Improvement programs of The Princeton HealthCare System. The Department of Rehabilitation provides services in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the various disciplines and the Bylaws of the Princeton HealthCare System. Practice involves the examination, evaluation, treatment and instruction of patients and their family members for the prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation of physical or psychiatric or learning disability, functional deficit and/or pain. Such practice includes but is not limited to the following areas: orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, rheumatology, neonatology, cardio-pulmonary, community health, oncology, psychiatry. It may also involve education and research. Specific duties and responsibilities include: Supervises and evaluates the performance of the staff. Directs the training, education and orientation of the staff and maintains a program for self-development. Participates in establishing and monitoring the quality improvement program, regulatory compliance and other legally mandated functions. Contributes to the preparation and monitoring of the budget. Administers the safety and security program. Prepares and monitors policy and procedure, and goals and objectives. Uses appropriate communication techniques with staff, physicians, administration, and patients. Actively supports current administrative policies. Responsible for meeting or exceeding current productivity standards. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility for all resources. Actively facilitates the development of new and current programs. Demonstrates appropriate problem solving utilizing all available resources. Operates clinical services in accordance with established code of ethics and standards of practice for the disciplines. Supports customer service and performance improvement goals of the department; collaborates with other care givers/staff, within and outside the Department, to develop means of enhancing patient care and service. Maintains standards of confidentiality. Age-Specific Knowledge & Skills ? Possesses the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet patients? physical, psychological and social needs with those growth and developmental levels/patient populations served within the department. Participates in unit compliance as related to established standards. Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualified candidates will have the following: A Bachelors Degree or equivalent from an educational program of either Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology accredited by the appropriate organization. If educated outside the United States, the individual must possess the appropriate educational requirements. Demonstrated ability to provide education and inservicing within and/or outside the department. Demonstrated interest in continuing education, which may include pursuance of specialty skills. Demonstrate working knowledge of the requirements of the fiscal intermediary, third party payers, and regulatory and JCAHO standards. Certification or licensure in the designated discipline. Sufficient years of experience providing service to children and/or adults with a wide variety of disorders, and a minimum of two years in a senior position with experience in supervising student and staff clinicians. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; professionalism essential. Also required are a customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem solving skills.
