Participates in the architecting, design, development, and test of software systems, prototypes, and proof of concepts under the direction of a Lead Architect at the NSA OIM organization. OIM is responsible for maintaining an enterprise data transformation and distribution system built on the JBoss application server. The environment is dynamic as requirements change to meet the tactical needs of OIMs customers. OIM and its customers are responsible for obtaining intelligence against the most difficult and challenging of the countrys intelligence priorities and is involved in all phases of Computer Network Operations (exploitation, defense, and attack). The work is challenging but extremely rewarding. The job location will be at Fort Meade, Maryland. Required: Clearance: Existing clearance level of Top Secret with SSBI and capable of clearance to the TS/SCI level. Must be willing to take a Full Scope polygraph or currently hold a current polygraph level clearance. Experience: 4 years minimum experience in aerospace industry, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community or related experience. SIGINT domain knowledge and experience, including mission, platform and processing areas. Minimum 4 years of experience designing and developing software using object-oriented approaches. Proficient in Java, J2EE, .NET, and related technologies is essential. Mature and developed written, graphical, and verbal communication skills needed to interact with a high performing and dynamic engineering team. High tolerance for potentially rapidly changing requirements and must have an ability to maintain momentum within the overall objectives and schedule. Additional responsibilities may include correction and update of documents, contribute to, or make, presentations, attend meetings and reviews, analysis of customer requests to determine needs and recommend appropriate configuration, equipment and software changes to satisfy requests, and training of new engineers. Desired Skills: DoD 5000 Major Program Acquisition process experience a plus. Full system lifecycle experience from system analysis and design through system testing and IV&V. Experience in an engineering team supervising one or more engineers on a specific design/development task to review and produce artifacts that meet system needs. Required Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems or Software Engineering, or Mathematics. Similar technical majors may be considered as an alternative.
