Senior Audit Manager

Senior Audit Manager will provide leadership and direction in the audit examinations of the trading and risk control businesses of RBC Capital Markets, RBC Corporate Treasury and Group Risk Management; independently and objectively evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management policies, practices and processes within these businesses; improve the timely identification and management of risks throughout the business and functional units.

Key Accountabilities: -Evaluate the business strategy, performance and level of experience of staff of major sales & trading businesses, including; fixed income, equities, municipal products & commodities, and structured products including rates, equities, credit derivatives and hedge funds. -Review these businesses and evaluate risks through a Continuous Auditing program. -Earn the audit customers respect for knowledge applied and professional approach. -Communicate effectively and efficiently with the audit customer through verbal communication and the issuance of timely, credible and substantive audit reports. -Evaluate the risk control procedures and processes of other Capital Markets products and businesses as appropriate and as required. -Evaluate all areas of risk to ensure they have kept pace with the latest developments in the business, are supported with appropriate technology, are well documented and fully adhered to.

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): Required: -A minimum 5 years experience of planning and directing the audits of capital markets trading businesses for a bank or broker/dealer, or for a public accounting firm -Solid practical knowledge of financial products and markets -Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills -Certified Public Accountant Preferred: -Certified Internal Auditor -Masters of Business Administration -CFA Charter Holder
